LEADERSHIP REPORT
· MEMBERSHIP MEETING
This month’s membership meeting will be held this Saturday February 20th at 12 noon. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. Refreshments will be available.
· REMINDER OF VACATION SIGN-UP PERIOD
The vacation sign-up period runs through Sunday, February 28, 2010. Please look at your calendar and plan your weeks or days off. An application received during this period is for time off from May 3, 2010 to May 1, 2011.
· DOCUMENT 8 / 30 MINUTE CALL IN START OF SHIFT
Per the 2009 modifications to the 2007 National Agreement, if an employee is going to be late or unable to work, you must call 1-800-222-8889, at least thirty (30) minutes prior to start of your shift.
· PRODUCTION SCHEDULE UPDATE
We have received an updated production schedule:
MARCH
March 1ST – 31st Monday – Friday Both shifts 10 hours
March 27TH Saturday production * Both shifts 8 hours
* Reminder second shift start time on Saturday March 27th is a 3:30 p.m.
APRIL
April 1st Thursday Both shifts 10 hours
April 2nd Holiday (Good Friday) No production scheduled
April 5th – 9th Down week * No production scheduled
(G.A. Re-rate) (Unemployment / SUB Eligible)
April 12th -30th Monday-Friday Both shifts 9 hours
* If you are required to work April 5th - 9th you will be notified by your group leader.
No Productions Saturday’s are planned in April.
MAY
May 3rd – and beyond Monday – Friday Three shifts 8 hours
May 22nd Saturday production* Three shifts 8 hours
*Due to the addition of a 3rd shift, the plant status will change from plan B to plan A of the
National Agreement as of Monday, May 3, 2010.
· WILD GAME FEED / SOLIDARITY DANCE
The Recreation / Conservation Committee is planning a Wild Game Feed / Solidarity Dance on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Union Hall. Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $6.00 at the door. There will be traditional food, entertainment and drinks available.
· MARCH OF DIMES GATE COLLECTION
This Friday, February 19th between shifts we will be having a gate collection for the March of Dimes Foundation here in Fort Wayne. March of Dimes isdedicated to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Thank you in advance for your donation.
